Why Bukavilla exists
I built this for my own villas first.
I'm Prashanth. I grew up in Hyderabad, I live in Dallas, and last year I went to Bali and fell for the place and the people. I bought a villa in Ubud. Over the next year I bought three more.
What I didn't love was losing a cut of every booking to a platform that also told me how to run my own house. So I built my own direct-booking site.
It worked — except no guest could find it.
Then I met other owners and found the same thing everywhere: good direct sites, scattered and invisible. Bukavilla puts them in one place, where a guest can search, compare, read real reviews and talk to the owner.
We're early, and that's the offer: the hosts who join now are the ones this gets built around.
So let me be specific about the money. Everything is free while we grow, and hosts who join now stay free for life — not free for a year, not free until I change my mind, and if a paid plan ever arrives, it will apply to the people who join after you — not to you.
