“The villa itself is beautiful and idyllic, however it is at least a half hour walk to any decent restaurants. There is a convenience store close by, but I would recommend you bring plenty of your own drinks and snacks, and be prepared to use drivers every day as it is a long walk on busy streets to get to anywhere with a bit of atmosphere. We loved the authenticity of the location and the villa though, and it was very private and tranquil.”

He also arranged transport for us whenever we needed it, which made everything so easy and convenient. Gusde (Bara) was a fantastic driver and made every car journey so much fun. A special thank you to Kedak, the villa manager, who stayed awake to welcome us when we arrived at 2am after delays getting to Bali. He greeted us with fresh coconuts on arrival, which was such a thoughtful and lovely touch. Thank you all for giving us such a wonderful welcome to Ubud.
