Pair the extension with your dashboard

Pair the extension with your dashboard

After installing the extension, it needs a one-time pairing key from your Bukavilla dashboard. The key tells the extension which villas to sync and authorizes the connection between your browser and your account.

1. Open the dashboard

Go to bukavilla.com/dashboard in the same browser where you just installed the extension. Sign in if needed.

2. Generate your pairing key

Go to Dashboard → Integrations. Under Sales channels, find Pair the browser extension and click Generate pairing key.

A key appears. It's shown only once — click Copy key now. If you lose it, generate a new one (the old one stops working, and any browser already paired will need re-pairing).

3. Paste the key into the extension

Click the Bukavilla extension icon in Chrome's toolbar (the villa icon you pinned during install). The popup shows a single empty field labelled Pairing key.

Paste the key. Click Connect.

4. Verify the connection

The popup should now show:

Paired ✓ — Connected to Bukavilla. N villa(s) flagged for sync.

If you see this, you're done. The extension knows which villas to sync. From now on:

  • A small auto-sync happens once a day, at a random time so it never piles up with other owners
  • You can force everything to sync at once any time with the Sync now button next to the status line
  • The extension automatically blocks Booking.com, VRBO, and Airbnb dates within a couple of minutes of a Bukavilla booking confirming — and reopens them if it cancels

What if Connect failed?

If the popup says Pairing key invalid:

  • Check you copied the whole key — use the Copy key button rather than selecting by hand (it's a long token, easy to clip)
  • Generate a new key from the dashboard and try again — the displayed-once nature means a re-pasted older key works only if you actually have the latest one
  • See troubleshooting for other failure modes

What's actually happening

When you click Connect, the extension sends the key + your villa list request to Bukavilla's API. Bukavilla validates the key, returns the list of villas you've flagged for Airbnb sync, and the extension caches that list locally. From that point on, every sync request the extension makes uses the same key as a bearer token — no further pairing needed.

The key never leaves your browser except to talk to bukavilla.com. It does not touch Airbnb, Booking.com, or any third party.
