Signing in
You can browse Bukavilla and message hosts without an account, but you need an account to book. Sign up with email or social login (Google, Apple). Your account stores your bookings, saved villas (mobile), and message threads.
Saving villas
Tap the heart icon on any villa to save it. Saved villas live at /m/saved on mobile. This is a mobile-only feature — desktop doesn't currently have a saved-villas list. You can still book and message hosts from desktop; saved villas are just easier to scroll through on a phone.
Trips list
Mobile guests can see all confirmed bookings at /m/trips, sorted by check-in date. This is also mobile-only.
On desktop, your bookings are accessible from your profile.
Privacy
What's visible to whom:
- Reviews — public on the villa's listing
- Messages — visible to you, the host you're messaging, and Bukavilla support
- Booking details — visible to you and the host
- Profile info — only what you choose to share (typically just your first name and photo for the host)
Bukavilla doesn't sell your data. Standard privacy and security practices apply; full details are in the privacy policy.
Account deletion
You can delete your account from your profile settings. There's one restriction: if you have any bookings on file (past or upcoming, any status), the self-serve deletion will be blocked — this protects host records.
If you have bookings and still want to delete, email Bukavilla support and we'll process it manually. Once deletion completes, your bookings, messages, reviews, and saved villas are removed.
Data export
Bukavilla doesn't have a self-serve data export today. If you need a copy of your data — booking history, messages, reviews — email support and we'll send it.
Notifications
Email notifications fire on:
- Booking confirmation
- Host replies in your message thread
- Status changes on a booking (cancelled, refund processed)
- Reminders before check-in
Mobile push notifications fire on the same events if you've installed Bukavilla on your phone and granted notification permissions. Configure both from your profile settings.
Email and contact
Your email address is the primary identifier on your account and is used for all booking communication. If you change it, your existing bookings keep working but new email goes to the new address. Hosts can see your email if you've messaged them through Bukavilla.
For account help that the chat widget can't resolve, email support — we'll see your account history and can act on it directly.
